This week marks the start of the 35th year of the Planned Parenthood of S.B., Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties’ Annual Book Sale, to be held at Earl Warren Showgrounds’ Warren Hall (3400 Calle Real). During the 10-day event—which commences tonight with a special opening reception, and runs through Sunday, September 27—proceeds from the sales of more than 100,000 used books will help to fund the nonprofit organization’s many important public family planning programs. From modern bestsellers to much-loved old favorites, any book lover is sure to find at least a few page-turners that will help benefit a great cause.
