Duo Robs Eleven Stores in One Night

Eleven local businesses were allegedly burglarized on 4/24 by suspects Michael Ray Marval and Lonnie Wayne Roth, who were eventually caught by Sheriff’s deputies after they were spotted acting suspiciously at a gas station in Carpinteria. Upon searching the suspects’ vehicle, deputies found a large amount of cash and merchandise. The two had reportedly first hit a store on the 4200 block of State Street, then two businesses on the 100 block of South Patterson before robbing three stores on the 5700 block of Calle Real as well as a business on the 100 block of Noth Fairview. Marval and Roth are currently being held in Santa Barbara County Jail on multiple felony charges.
