It’s Time to Love

I am a resident of Santa Barbara. I have written the enclosed poem and e-mailed it to the White House reflecting my own personal reaction to the violence that has followed the signing of the new Health Care Reform Bill.

It’s time to love

Amid the threats

It’s time to love

Amid the violence

It’s time to love

Amid the broken windows

It’s time to love

Amid the din

It’s time to love

Amid the pain

It’s time to love

It’s time to love

—Ibrahim Ibn Salma
