Supernannies to Be Cast at Fair

Starshine Sits in on Saturday’s Casting Call for Popular Reality Television Show


What happens when you combine sugary treats, overpriced rides, and enough visual stimulation to set little brains on “TILT”? You get tantrums. Big, fat, screamy tantrums that end with cotton candy in someone’s hair.

And where tantrums take place, the “Supernanny” magically appears.

Casting agents for ABC’s prime-time series Supernanny are inviting Santa Barbara area parents to an open casting call from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Saturday at the Santa Barbara Fair & Expo, a.k.a Tantrum Central. And I’m going to be sitting in on the casual, informational interviews for an upcoming column.

Families with kids from infants to teens are encouraged to apply as the potential subjects of a future episode. “Supernanny” Jo Frost solves discipline problems for families with surly, spoiled sons and bratty, back-talking daughters.
