The Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute will be a hosting a fundraiser aboard the Condor Express this Sunday, August 15, to benefit area seals and sea lions in rehabilitation. The cost of one $35 ticket for this cruise for a cause—which will feature food, drinks, and entertainment along the S.B. shoreline—will feed a pup for a week. Check-in begins at 3:30 p.m. at Sea Landing (301 W. Cabrillo Blvd.), and the voyage will run until 6 p.m. Call 231-7496 for more info.

Here is the problem. There is currently a huge surplus of Seals which is the direct result of these Do Good Charities meddling with the natural order of things.
When nature produces too many animals....so many that they eat all the food....they die. I know....that is sad...but it is the way the world works.
These people fish these sick animals out, nurse them back to health and release them into the wild. Thus upsetting the balance of things and creating animal surpluses that cause the poor creatures to starve to death.
Too much meddling.
