A project to install a shoulder and centerline rumble strip on Hwy. 246 near Lompoc will begin on Monday, Aug. 30.

Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control on Hwy. 246 from the East junction of State Route 1 to Drum Canyon Road Sunday through Thursday during the overnight hours from 8 pm to 6 am and Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.

Motorists can expect a delay not to exceed 15 minutes.

The contractor for this $628,000 project is the R. Burke Corporation of San Luis Obispo, CA.

This project is expected to be completed this November. Caltrans reminds motorists that ‘we’re here to get you there.’
