Living Christmas Trees for Rent this Holiday Season

If you like having a fir in your home for the holidays but don’t like the hassle and mess of a dying tree, there’s another option. Thanks to a newly formed Santa Barbara company called My Living Christmas Tree, folks can rent a living tree for the season. Choices include Nordmann and Balsam firs raised in the Cascade Mountains. In addition to reducing fire risk and needle loss on your floor, renting is great for the environment, as the rented trees will eventually be planted in forests. Trees come in a decorated pot, are delivered to your door, and are picked up when the holidays are done. To see sample trees, visit Rolling Hills Garden Center (420 E. Highway 246, Buellton).
