    RED CARPET COMPASSION

    The Santa Barbara International Film Fest is joining forces with the Santa Barbara Chapter of the Red Cross to help raise funds for Haiti earthquake relief efforts. Throughout the fest, Red Cross volunteers will be present at all red carpet events and screenings to accept donations. For film times, visit independent.com/sbiff.

    GREEN SCREEN

    The Community Environmental Council is accepting submissions for its second annual Green Film Festival now through Friday, March 26. The contest is open to residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties, and films may be no longer than two minutes. Visit cecsb.org for details.

    French-born Santa Barbara sculptor Jacques D’Auteuil recently announced he will be donating all profits from his $4,250 sculpture YoMan, currently showing at Montecito’s Maiani Gallery (1269 Coast Village Rd.), to the Red Cross’s Haiti relief fund. For info, call 969-0300.
