Give a Little

• The Foundation for Girsh Park, one of Goleta’s most widely utilized recreational areas, is in need of donations to keep its campus operating. The park is not owned by the city, county, or state, but rather is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Call 968-2773 or visit for more info.

• The S.B. Public Library (40 E. Anapamu St.) is looking for volunteers for its book re-sort project, taking place on Monday, January 18. Because the library functions best when books, DVDs, and other materials are in the right places, the shelves will be reviewed to find things that are out of order and then put back in their correct place. Participants must preregister for the event and attend an hour-long training session on Saturday, January 9, or Thursday, January 14. Call 564-5634 for more info.
