Southern California Edison, or SCE, has planned power outages in Santa Barbara and Goleta, starting on July 6 and ending July 9.
On Tuesday, July 6, starting at 8 p.m., the outage will affect Valerio, De la Vina, Bath, Micheltorena, and Arrellaga streets and Los Aguajes Avenue until 6:30 a.m. the next day.
On Wednesday, July 7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Phelps Road, Cool Brook, Orange Blossom and Meadow lanes, Shadowbrook Drive and Greenleaf Court will be affected.
At 5 p.m. Thursday, July 8, until 6:30 a.m., July 9, outages will occur at Dearborn Place, Kellogg, Armitos, Hollister, Kinman and Cardinal avenues. The final outage will affect about 700 people.
Patricia Bartoli-Wible, local public affairs region manager for SCE, said that individual homeowners have been notified. Underground maintenance is the reason for the outages.

IMO, the city should step up police patrols in the areas affected by the nighttime outages. If local news is going to post such hours, then it only increases the possibility of mischief. No blame to Indy of course, because it's obviously word to spread, but honestly, it's only fair to the residents affected by this that the city take precautions. Just sayin'.
