Neverland Ranch a State Park?

There are murmurs in Sacramento about a potential legislative resolution that would ask that state officials look into the feasibility of purchasing Neverland Ranch, the former Los Olivos home of pop star Michael Jackson, and turning it into a state park. The NAACP backs the idea, though state parks officials have expressed hesitation at the price—potentially as high as $100 million—in comparison with the present health of the dismal state budget, particularly in the parks department. The 3rd District office is also looking into the proposal, to see what it might mean on a local level.
