Mission City Brawlin’ Betties Take on San Luis Obispo Slammers this Weekend

The Mission City Brawlin’ Betties is S.B.’s first and only all-female full-contact roller derby league. The team competes up and down the California coast against other girls-only teams in cities from San Diego to Santa Cruz. This week, don’t miss the girls’ Roller Revolution, when they will host the Central Coast Roller Derby’s San Luis Obispo-based team. The showdown begins at 5 p.m. (gates at 4:30pm) on Saturday, June 12, at Gate C of Earl Warren Showgrounds (3400 Calle Real). Tickets are $5. Call 687-0766 for more info.
