Two Local Nonprofits To Host Fundraising Events


—Jasmine’s Alternative Music School (631½ N. Milpas St.) will be hosting a free outdoor concert Sunday, June 27, 3-8:30 p.m., that will feature local food tasting, a raffle, and a silent auction that includes autographed prizes from musical native Kenny Loggins and percussion master Hani Naser. Proceeds of the auction will benefit the JAMS musical outreach program. Call 252-0562 for more info.

—The Environmental Defense Center will be presenting TGIF—Thank Goodness It’s Friday Mixer, a happy hour featuring hors d’oeuvres, a raffle, live music, and drinks, all supplemented by information regarding EDC and other environmental awareness organizations.
