Not Lots of Goleta Beach Parking

This letter is regarding all the UCSB individuals who park at Goleta Beach. Unauthorized parking, despite signs at this location, has continued unabated for many years. This blatant act is illegal, unethical, and morally wrong. I find the behavior and the dismissive attitude of these individuals disappointing.

There is a total lack of parking enforcement by the County of Santa Barbara and/or the local police department. At least, during the summer, there is more parking available for actual users of the park. Shocking!!

As a taxpayer, I have to ask: Does anyone care about this chronic misuse of county property? As usual, it’s all about politics, money, and priorities. So goes the world.—Dawn Luke, Goleta
