Gaviota Planning Committee Hosts Workshop

A divergent crowd of Gaviota Coast stakeholders turned out for a day-long workshop on 3/20 to discuss all things Gaviota. Part of the county’s ongoing Gaviota Planning Advisory Committee (GavPAC) process, the event was the latest community outreach effort as the committee works toward developing a comprehensive and first-of-its-kind general plan for the world-class Gaviota region. Attempted before but never achieved, the GavPAC process hopes to draft a balance in land use interests for the region that will be considered by county supervisors sometime in 2011-12.
