The Independent’s June 2010 Endorsements

This past week, registered voters in Santa Barbara County received their information guides and those who vote by mail got their ballots in the mail for an election that doesn’t officially transpire until June 8. As usual, the stakes are high, the choices stark, and the fate of the universe hangs in the balance.

On May 13, The Independent is publishing three endorsements. On May 20, we published the rest, which are now all compiled here. Happy voting!

Voters confront a choice between two accomplished, compelling, yet troubling candidates in the race for District Attorney — Joyce Dudley and Josh Lynn — both successful and charismatic career prosecutors.

Of the three candidates running for County Treasurer-Tax Collector, there’s only one person remotely qualified for the post: Harry Hagen.
