Chocolate for a Cause: CANCELED

The Rape Crisis Center’s Annual Chocolate de Vine

If you don’t get your sweet tooth sated on All Hallow’s Eve and you still crave cacao, consider Chocolate de Vine, the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center’s Fourth Annual Fundraiser on Saturday, November 6, 7-10 p.m. at the Hangar, 201 West Montecito Street. The event is about our region’s best chocolatiers in delicious contest, and all the attendees get to sample their wonderful dessert creations as they battle it out. Of course there’s wine, too (that’s the vine part), and this year’s theme is Santa Barbara Vintage. Add in a silent auction (this is a benefit, after all), and hip-swinging, retro entertainment by Los Nombres, and it’s sure to be a good time. There’s even an extra hour VIP option for those who can’t get enough. The private, nonprofit Rape Crisis Center provides counseling, crisis intervention, and support to survivors of sexual assault and their families. Tickets are available online at
