Casino for a Cure to benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; Library to Hold Fundraiser Book Sale.

• Proceeds from the 2nd Annual Casino for a Cure this Saturday, November 6, will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Hors d’oeurvres, live music and dancing, and casino games will be the highlights of the event. The party runs from 6:30-10 p.m. at the Canary Hotel (31 W. Carrillo St); tickets are $35-$40. • From Thursday, November 11, through Sunday, November 14, the S.B. Central Library (40 E. Anapamu St.) will host a Blowout Book Sale. Paperbacks, hardcovers, audio recordings, VHS tapes, DVDs, and more will be available for purchase. Call 564-5611 for more info.
