Holiday Faire to Raise Funds for Historical Society; Unity Shoppe Needs Help Obtaining New Property

• On Saturday, November 27, the Carpinteria Historical Society will host its 30th Annual Holiday Faire. Browse works by artisans and Christmas décor, plus live music, face-painting, and more. The Faire runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Carpinteria Valley Museum of History (956 Maple Ave., Carpinteria). Admission is free for buyers. Call 964-3112 for more info.

• The Unity Shoppe, an amazing S.B.-based nonprofit that helps less-fortunate Santa Barbarans obtain basic needs like food, clothes, and shelter year-round, is attempting to purchase a new building for program use after recently losing the rights to its home at Victoria Hall. If you can help with campaign money, holiday donations, or more, visit unityshoppe.org.
