S.B. Surfrider Foundation Hosts “We’re in It Together” Fundraiser

A large-scale group project hits Santa Barbara’s shores this weekend, when Paddle for Clean Waves: We’re in It Together brings more than 100 paddlers from the area to Leadbetter Beach, joining South Coast businesses and nonprofit groups. The “Paddle Out” swim session will benefit the Surfrider Foundation, S.B. Chapter, as well as Surfrider chapters in the struggling Gulf Coast region. The event runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, and is free for spectators. Call 899-2583 for more info.
