BUSY BEE: Between her full-time job, screenplay projects, and Indy internship, Carla Amurao doesn’t have a lot of time to relax. But the Duarte, California, native and UCSB graduate is content with burning the candle at both ends as long as she gets to write. “It’s just one of the things I always did,” said Amurao, who, despite not learning English until kindergarten (she spoke Tagalog beforehand), is a champ at turning in clean and compelling copy.
