Starr King Annual Rummage Sale, Charter School Carnival to Raise Funds for Area Nonprofits

• The Starr King Parent-Child Workshop will host its annual rummage sale and silent auction this weekend. The nonprofit group runs an area preschool dedicated to early childhood education. The sale runs Friday, October 22, 9:30 a.m.-5.p.m., and Saturday, October 23, from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Unitarian Society (1535 Santa Barbara St.). Call 966-1235 for more info.

• Games, bounce houses, food, music, arts and crafts, and more fun activities will be featured at the S.B. Charter School Fall Carnival. The event, to be held 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, at the school’s campus (6100 Stow Cyn. Rd., Goleta), will raise funds for the public elementary school. Admission is free.
