For the first time, S.B. Charter School is hosting a carnival for its yearly fundraiser. Open to the public, the event will feature food, arts and crafts, music, games, and giant bounce houses, among other entertainment. Game booths include Deep Sea Fishing, Alien Shots, and Ping Pong Toss. There will also be face painting, a crazy hair and nails booth, and a make-your-own Hula-hoop booth. Kids can make chalk drawings alongside 3-D chalk artist Tracy Lee Stum. Musical guests include Jamey Geston and Rockshop Academy Band, Freaknmissy, and Kalinka. Admission and parking are free, and it’s all this Saturday, October 23, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at the school (6100 Stow Canyon Rd., Goleta).
