Publisher Receives Paul Harris Award

During the October 22, 2010 meeting of the Santa Barbara Downtown Rotary Club. Scene&Heard Magazine Publisher Gloria Montano received a Paul Harris Fellowship in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world.

The Paul Harris Fellowship, named after the founder of Rotary International,According to the Rotary International website, “Donors of $1,000 or more to the Annual Programs Fund, PolioPlus, or the Humanitarian Grants Program, or people who have that amount contributed in their name, can be recognized as Paul Harris Fellows.” Rotary clubs sponsor charitable giving, both locally and internationally. A current goal of Rotary international is to eradicate polio from the face of the Earth.
