La Cumbre Plaza Debuts Weekly Live Jazz Series

La Cumbre Plaza launches its Jazz on the Plaza series this month, a program of late-summer Thursday-night live music performances at the outdoor mall’s fountain-side terrace. In addition to the jazz, the S.B. County Vintners’ Association will host a new wine tasting each week. The following is the first month of Plaza’s impressive lineup of S.B.-based jazz performers:

•John Crosse and the La Cumbre Jazz All-Stars (Sept. 9)

•Teka and New Bossa (Sept. 16)

•Lois Mahalia (Sept. 23)

•Bernie Mieisinger and the La Cumbre Jazz All-Stars

All performances run from 5-7 p.m. and are free; wine tasting costs $15. La Cumbre Plaza is located at 121 South Hope Avenue. The concert series runs until October 28; visit for a complete schedule, or call 963-7147 for more info.
