Where: 11 West De la Guerra Street, 845-8800, liveculturelounge.com.

What: Paseo Nuevo’s spacious wine bar and small plates destination with an inviting lounge atmosphere and daily live music.

    How Much: Paninis $9.50-$13.50, juice elixirs $5.75 (16 oz.), $7.50 (24 oz.).

The Dish: Not many facilities can boast that they attract a similar crowd for coffee, frozen yogurt, live music, and an evening glass of wine, but Live Culture does just this while providing a comfortable café and lounge space for customers to relax in. Snatching a centrally located space in the Paseo Nuevo mall was the first step for founders Sierra Falso, Rebecca Klarich, and Darin Fiechter, who have since created a unique space to enjoy wines, beer, and California-flaired tapas, cheese, and charcuterie plates in front of a dramatically elevated sound stage for entertainment. Peet’s espresso and brewed coffee is served all day, and 45 flavors of YoCream frozen yogurt rotate through eight slots in the stainless steel dispensers. Specialty panini sandwiches and delectable beginnings, such as bresaola carpaccio and a Caprese tower, are on the lighter side for grazers in community lounge and patio seating. Wi-Fi Internet access and modern variety make this a unique stop that is difficult to leave.
