Two new buildings at Westmont College were christened on 8/30, the school’s first day of classes. The Adams Center for the Visual Arts and Winter Hall for Science and Mathematics both were completed over the summer at Westmont, which, after an anonymous donor reneged on a $75 million pledge, is trying to raise money to fund changes at the campus. The school is in the middle of a $40 million drive to try to pay for buildings already being constructed during Phase One of what was originally slated to be a massive campus overhaul.
