Cold Stone Creamery to Raise Funds for Make-a-Wish; Breast Cancer Resource Center Hosts Fundraiser Gala

• On Thursday, September 30, Cold Stone Creamery (504 State St., Santa Barbara, and 5718 Calle Real, Goleta) will host the World’s Largest Ice Cream Social, a fundraising event benefiting the Make-a-Wish Foundation nationwide. Eighty-five percent of ice cream sales from 5 to 8 p.m. that night—as well as all month long—will be donated to Make-a-Wish. • The Breast Cancer Resource Center of S.B. hosts its 11th Annual Fall Fundraiser—themed “Villa Under the Stars”—next Saturday, September 25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Proceeds from $150 tickets benefit the organization, which provides free support services to women with cancer. The gala, to be held at a private S.B. estate, will feature food by chef Robin Goldstein, a silent and live auction, martinis and wine, and much more. Call 569-9693 for more info.
