The proud father told us via phone conference from Florence, Italy, “I’d like to thank our friends and fans from Santa Barbara and around the world for all of the well wishes. We are overwhelmed with the kindness shared by all. It is a very beautiful moment in our lives. Everyone is healthy and happy although Mama and Papa are admittedly a little worn-out. But our love and joy for this miracle supersede any amount of fatigue.”

Maestro Kabaretti became the Music Director of the Santa Barbara Symphony in 2006. He will lead the orchestra in Beethoven’s spectacular Symphony No. 9 as part of the opening concerts of the season on October 16 and 17 at The Granada.

To purchase subscriptions for the Santa Barbara Symphony 2010-2011 season, call the Symphony office at (805) 898-9626 or order online. The Symphony is offering a special 20% discount on new subscriptions purchased on or before September 30th.

The Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra Association was founded in 1953 on the belief that a special city deserves a special orchestra. Throughout more than half a century of glorious history, the Symphony has been celebrated for its unique ability to deliver brilliant orchestral concerts while maintaining a strong commitment to education and community engagement.
