Breakaway Tours 15-year Toast

Anniversary Celebrated as Central Coast Original Wine Tour

Breakaway Tours and Event Planning, California’s Central Coast premier tour operator for wine and culinary adventures, celebrates 15 years of local expertise blended perfectly with unparalleled professionalism. Educating clients from the wine novice to the aficionado each wine country tour is infused with a local’s perspective of wineries up and down the Central Coast.

“We were lucky to be the first to ride the wave into this expanding wine region when we opened Breakaway 15 years ago,” notes Jill Tweedie, owner of Breakaway and resident of the Central Coast for over 40 years. “Wine and food is our passion. We enjoy sharing those components with people who are just as enthusiastic as us to learn what the Central Coast has to offer.”

Breakaway was built on the idea of creating personalized excursions for their clients to showcase the wine regions of the Central Coast. Fifteen years later, these uniquely crafted wine tours remain the most popular option within the company’s tour portfolio. Breakaway will cater to each individual needs be it a three hour tour for two of the stunning San Luis Obispo wine region, an immersion course of the Paso Robles wine country for a social gathering or a lengthy multi-day adventure of wineries in the lush Santa Barbara appellation for a corporate retreat.

Founded in 1995, by two Central Coast locals, it was in 2009 that Breakaway added a public tour component to their portfolio. The Insider’s Wine Tour was designed to bring together like-minded clients to experience an in-depth wine tour of either the Paso Robles or Edna Valley wine regions. With this tour option, clients are picked up at their hotel then swept off to experience some of the county’s best wines. Just as the private and custom tours, the Insider’s Wine Tour is fit for the wine novice to aficionado and creates an enlightening experience for all.

From corporate team building excursions to organizing weekend activities for visiting guests of Central Coast weddings, Breakaway strives to create a unique tour to fit their client’s needs. Looking for non-wine related activities? Breakaway has that covered. They will help create a murder mystery dinner with an unforgettable evening or have guests touring the awe-inspiring Hearst Castle. Whatever the wish of the client, Breakaway will design a unique, educational and seriously fun tour. Clients can rest assure that their tour will be exceptional as it is hard to pass up a company that notes, “…our guides at Breakaway are part museum curator and part party DJ.”

Educating clients for 15 years, Breakaway Tours and Event Planning boasts local expertise blended perfectly with unparalleled professionalism throughout the enchanting Central Coast wine community. From the individual, a social group gathering or a corporate team-building excursion, Breakaway Tours & Event Planning will create a unique, fun and educational tour to fit each client’s needs.
