Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Endorses Watson

Tom Watson, Republican candidate for Congress in the 23rd District, today announced he had received the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association in his race for Congress.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the most respected and effective taxpayer protection group in the state and country,” stated Watson. “Their endorsement is another demonstration that this campaign is moving forward with a simple belief – American taxpayers need a government that gets out of their way and stops spending money we simply don’t have.”

In welcoming the endorsement, Watson indicated that as the campaign enters the final month he was hopeful of more endorsements from local organizations.

“Stopping spending, reigning in government, creating private sector jobs, and reducing the power that government has over our everyday lives is resonating with Republicans, Democrats and Independents. I intend to take that message to every corner of this gerrymandered district, to people of every political persuasion, and give them a choice this November,” concluded Watson.
