• This weekend, S.B.’s Animal Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP) will host its first-ever Free Adoption Days for Certified Pre-Owned Cats event. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, August 20-21, the animal welfare group will waive its adoption fee for its many friendly, furry felines currently being housed at the S.B. County Animal Shelter (5473 Overpass Rd). Tour the shelter and meet the 100-plus adoption-eligible kittens and cats—all of which have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and have had a recent vet exam—get info on adoption criteria, and more.
