Hearing Tests

Free Consultations Through August.

“Statistics show that people who suspect they may have hearing loss put off having a test for 10 years or more,” said Donna Gilmartin, a licensed audiologist who will be offering free hearing tests and hearing aid consultations through August. The outreach program, titled Hearing Aids Santa Barbara, is sponsored by S.B. Hearing Care Inc., whose mission, as stated on its Web site, is “to evaluate hearing levels, educate about the effects of hearing loss, liberate with viable solutions, and to give people the freedom to communicate with the gift of hearing.” Consultations take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-5 p.m. at the Montecito Family YMCA (591 Santa Rosa Ln., Montecito). For more info or to schedule a free hearing test, call 616-6431, email sbhearingcare@gmail.com, or visit sbhearingcare.com.
