Central Coast Wine Growers Announce Summer Extravaganza

The Central Coast Wine Growers Association (CCWGA) is holding its annual fundraiser Saturday, August 27, 2011.


The Summer Extravaganza will be held at Rancho Arroyo Grande, east of Arroyo Grande. The private event is for members and associates of the CCWGA and includes wine tasting, dinner, a silent and live auction and dancing to the music of Tennessee Jim Harrell and the Driftwood Band.

Rancho Arroyo Grande, Home of Conway Family Wines is located at 591 Hi Mountain Road east of the Village of Arroyo Grande. There will be signs directing visitors towards the Rancho Arroyo Event Center.

The event starts at 4:30 PM with wine tasting and preview of the auction items. Dinner will be served about 6:00 PM by the Arroyo Grande FFA members. Following dinner; the live auction starts and will be conducted by John Glines of Central Coast Auction.

Tennessee Jimmy Harrell of the Driftwood Band performs a variety of classics as well as current country tunes, and is committed in sharing his relaxant presentation of music to all. He has worked with such greats as Dwight Yoakam, Vince Gill and Merle Haggard. The Driftwood Band includes professional musicians playing Fiddle, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Pedal Steel Guitar and Drums.

Tickets for the event are $50.00 per person, or $450.00 for a table of ten. Tickets may be obtained by logging on to the CCWGA website at www.ccwga.org and click on “buy tickets”. Tickets may also be obtained by calling John Burke at 805-928-4950.

The CCWGA is a non-profit association representing vineyards and wineries in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. Our primary purpose is to advance the wine grape growing industry through advocacy and education.
