The Santa Ynez Valley Visitors Association (SYVVA) is pleased to announce the first-ever Santa Ynez Valley Vintages Week from September 17-25, 2011, and Santa Ynez Valley Arts Week from November 12-20, 2011, in cooperation with the Santa Ynez Valley Hotel Association (www.syvha.com). According to SYVVA Executive Director Kady Fleckenstein, “There are so many amazing activities happening here in September surrounding the vintages theme, and in November encompassing our fantastic artistic heritage, we encourage visitors to come explore and stay for a unique getaway in the Santa Ynez Valley this fall.”

During Vintages Week from September 17-25, 2011, visitors will enjoy many options such as wine flights at participating tasting rooms, the 75th annual Danish Days in Solvang from September 16-18 (www.SolvangUSA.com); the 65th annual Los Alamos Old Days Celebration of western heritage from September 23-25 (www.LosAlamosValley.org); and the 2nd Annual Buellton Vintage Trailer Bash on September 24-25 (www.flyingflags.com). All events are open to the public and most are free (except where noted). A brand new “Vintages” map that includes antique &thrift stores, museum and historical sites around the Valley will also be available along with more specific events and details at www.VisitTheSantaYnezValley.com/vintagesweek

From November 12-20, 2011, the first Santa Ynez Valley Art Week will be touted featuring events such as the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum Vaquero Show & Sale, a celebration of Western art and accoutrements from November 11-13 (www.syvmuseum.org); and the Wildling Art Museum’s Santa Ynez Valley Artists’ Studio Tour from November 18-20, 2011 (www.wildlingmuseum.org/AStudio2011.html).
