This new Santa Barbara-based nonprofit organization was recently launched to educate both the general public and the medical community about this little-known, serious neurological disorder.

Robert Mislang is a Vice President and Senior Branch Manager for the Montecito Branch of Montecito Bank and Trust and has been in banking for over ten years. Prior to banking he worked for NBC and FOX Television in sales and marketing. Mislang is active in the community and serves on the board of directors for Organic Soup Kitchen, Phoenix of Santa Barbara, San Marcos Parent Child Workshop (SMPCW), and Rotary Club of Montecito, and serves on the Leadership Council for the Special Olympics of Santa Barbara.

“I have known Rob for more than 30 years ~ since we went to Cleveland Elementary School and Santa Barbara High together ~ I am so grateful he has agreed to join our team,” said Pete Dal Bello, Founder and President of the ICA. “With his vast financial services background, and nonprofit volunteer experience within the community, Rob is a valuable asset to our organization. His expertise will guide and grow the ICA so we can continue to help Chiarians all over the world.”

Mislang is a Santa Barbara High School alumni, and a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning a bachelor’s degree in business economics. Mislang is a Santa Barbara native and lives here with his wife and two children.
