Area Animal Welfare Group Seeks Pet Supplies


VIVA (Volunteers for Inter-Valley Animals) is a Santa Ynez Valley nonprofit humane organization that provides shelter, food, care, and adoption services to homeless cats and dogs in the area. The group is seeking donations of supplies for their animals and is in most need of paper towels, tall kitchen garbage bags, bleach, and Friskies, Science Diet, or Purina Cat Chow cat food. • Common Ground S.B. is in need of 500 volunteers to canvas the community to locate and survey the county’s homeless population. The aim of the survey, which will run from Monday, February 28-Wednesday, March 2, is to ensure that those persons at the highest risk will receive life-saving resources and services.
