There may not have been thunderstorms in the city of Santa Barbara over the long weekend, but there was thunderous glee in the new Science PlayLab at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. The Science PlayLab investigates the forces of nature – air, water, earthquakes, tornadoes, and more – in a fun, hands‐on environment that connects kids to nature and science through creative play and experimentation. It offers the whole family (adults and children) a variety of special adventures, to play and learn together, and to foster a sense of wonder for our natural world. Typically, in a news release, Museum staff comments about the exhibit are quoted, but for this exhibit the visitors’ comments and photos best tell the story about the Science PlayLab.
