Young filmmakers receive noteable award

Santa Barbara Middle School and San Marcos High School alums Jacob & Isaac Seigel-Boettner and their film With My Own Two Wheels received a Children’s Dream Award presented by Children Uniting Nations Thursday night at the Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

On February 23, 2011, the young A-list stars of Hollywood will take over the Club Nokia venue at the L.A. Live complex in downtown Los Angeles to present the 1st Annual Childrenʼs Dream Awards. On this night, children and family from all parts of the world will be viewing and celebrating the works of 6 nominated hero children. The show is written by children (from Audubon Middle School in Los Angeles), then produced by children (Champion/2k Youth foster and juvenile children), then executed by children under the direct mentorship of the showʼs producers.

The Childrenʼs Dream Award is a tremendous honor for any child. For one night the future stars of Hollywood donate their time and honor unsung heroes with a powerful dedication to select children who have gone above and beyond to help otherchildren. Children selected from around the world will receive this prestigious honor with a handmade Peace Angel award.

This 2-hour video streaming event tailored for the whole family will begin with a full red carpet celebration, followed by a dinner evening honoring these special awardees. The video streaming will include an awards presentation complete with performances and presentations by some of your favorite young stars of Hollywood. A childrenʼs orchestra will grace the stage as well as the hottest youth musical performances for your enjoyment. A custom Angel Award Lithograph will be given to selected young celebrities who have made contributions in humanitarian efforts
