Alleged Child Molester Arrested

Purportedly Fondled Six-Year-Old Girl While Her Parents Were Away

Following a month-long investigation, 56-year-old Richard “Ricky” Ramirez was arrested for allegedly molesting a six-year-old girl. The investigation by Carpinteria detectives arose from claims that Ramirez had fondled the six-year-old last summer while Ramirez looked after the victim when her parents were out of town. The suspect is now being held at the Santa Barbara County Jail on a parole violation. The District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing charges.
