Residents Evacuated as Multiple Fire Crews Responded

Residents in the 1400 block of De la Vina were awakened early Friday morning, as Santa Barbara City Fire crews responded to a structure fire just before 3 a.m.

According to officials, engines from County Fire and Montecito Fire also responded to the blaze at 1419 De la Vina, which suffered heavy damage. Nearby buildings also sustained moderate damage. There were no reported injuries.

De la Vina was still closed at Micheltorena to Sola streets during the morning commute.

The Santa Barbara County Red Cross was also on the scene this morning helping residents who needed it.
