This weekend wine enthusiasts will be able to taste a selection of wines from ten of Lodi’s most ambitious wineries at the California Wine Festival held in Santa Barbara. Lodi Wine Country vintners are set to showcase the quality of Lodi fruit and aim to increase awareness for the appellation in the Southern California market. Santa Barbara, and neighboring Los Angeles, is a vast market with unlimited potential as many have yet to discover the type of pure, fruit forward unbelievably priced wines that Lodi’s ultra premium wineries are quickly becoming known for.

David Phillips of Michael~David Winery has been pushing hard to get Lodi wines out into the market. “Our price points have always been significant, and our quality competes easily with wineries from anywhere else. All we need is more exposure and the festival is just one way to achieve that.”

The California Wine Festival is a three-day event taking place July 14-16. Guests will be able to experience over 200 of California’s finest wines, delicious food and live entertainment. Tickets are available for purchase at www.californiawinefestival.com.

Centrally located between Sacramento and the greater Bay Area, Lodi Wine Country is the idyllic wine tasting destination, with over 40 wine tasting venues. For more information on California’s newest fine wine region, please visit lodiwine.com or join us on Facebook.
