Pampered-Pooch Philanthropy

Sunday’s Charity Dog Wash and Portrait Event Will Benefit Area Nonprofit K-9 PALS.

Mark your canine calendars for the upcoming Charity Dog Wash and Dog Portraits at Hendry’s Beach (2981 Cliff Dr.). From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, volunteers will bathe and pamper your four-legged pal to help raise much-needed funds for K-9 PALS, a nonprofit organization that serves the dogs of the S.B. County Animal Shelter. After your pet is picture-perfect clean, have Fido’s (or Fifi’s) portrait taken in an on-site photo booth, and take home prints to commemorate the day. Half of all proceeds from doggie baths ($10) and photo-booth sessions ($15) will be donated to K-9 PALS. Call 681-4369 for more info.
