Kick Off Old Spanish Days in S.B. Before Fiesta Next Week
Next week marks the start of Old Spanish Days 2011 in S.B. This week, check out a few can’t-miss pre-Fiesta activities: On Sunday, July 31, meet this year’s Fiesta president at the Recepción de la Presidenta (5-10 pm, Fess Parker’s DoubleTree Resort, Plaza del Sol, 633 E. Cabrillo Blvd. $75-$85.), and on Wednesday, August 3, stroll through a colorful Mexican market at El Mercado de la Guerra (11am-11pm, De la Guerra Plaza, E. De la Guerra St. Free.).
