Jury selection is underway in the murder trial of Robert Ibarra, accused of being involved in the 2004 stabbing death of Elias Silva in Goleta. The District Attorney’s office decided just a couple of months ago not to pursue the death penalty against Ibarra. Joshua Miracle, who pleaded guilty to the murder, is currently on death row. The two men were arrested in San Diego driving the victim’s stolen vehicle.
