This Saturday, June 18, S.B. artists Dug Uyesaka and Joan Rosenberg Dent join forces to unveil Minimal Manifestations at the Art From Scrap Gallery (302 E. Cota St.) The show features Uyesaka’s prints and Dent’s assemblage sculptures. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Visit artfromscrap.org for details.

The Santa Barbara Museum of Art is resurrecting its Nights events for an eighth season starting Friday, August 26. This time around, the galas will take place twice a season (the second event is January 20, 2012) and stretch extra late. Call 884-6414 or visit sbma.net/nights for info.

The Santa Barbara Foundation and KEYT are now accepting nominations for the 69th annual Man and Woman of the Year awards. Winners will exemplify the spirit of volunteerism in the community. Nominations are due by Monday, August 1 and forms can be found online at sbfoundation.org.
