Bishop Diego High will vie for the CIF Division 6AA boys basketball sectional championship after defeating Orangewood Academy 44-37 in the semifinals Monday night in Huntington Beach. The Cardinals (22-7) will face top-seeded Valley Torah (21-4) at 8:15 p.m. Saturday (March 5) at Mater Dei High in Santa Ana.

Junior guard Elias Munoz scored 15 points to lead Bishop to its 11th consecutive victory. In the final, the Cardinals will have to deal with Valley Torah’s 6’9” senior Aaron Liberman, who had 11 points, 21 rebounds and 13 blocks in the Wolfpack’s 44-30 victory over Rio Hondo.
