SUCKER FOR SUCCULENTS: Indy intern Kiran Aulakh moved to Santa Barbara from Costa Rica only three years ago, but she’s already finely attuned to the S.B. lifestyle: She loves yoga, playing the guitar, and tending her collection of succulents, and recently bought a wetsuit so she can learn to surf. Aulakh, who goes to SBCC but is applying to a few UCs for next fall, says no matter what profession she goes into, she wants to open people’s eyes to what’s going on around them. Follow her at
