Two S.B. Education Groups to Host Fundraiser Galas This Week
• This week, the Garden Street Academy will host its third annual dinner fundraiser for its tuition assistance program. This year’s theme is Roaring ’20s, and the event will feature dinner, entertainment, and live and silent auctions. The gala begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, at the school’s campus (2300 Garden St.). Tickets are $100; ages 18+ only. Call 896-3107 for more info.
• This Saturday, March 12, the San Marcos Parent-Child Workshop presents Curiosity Cabinet Silent Auction and Party. Proceeds from ticket sales ($10/person) and auction sales will benefit the organization, a 50-year-old cooperative preschool that aims to integrate parents into their children’s education. The event runs from 4-7 p.m. at the S.B. Museum of Natural History (2559 Puesta del Sol Rd.). Call 886-1869 for more info.
