26th Annual Probation Department Staff Recognition Dinner
Opening remarks given by Chief Patricia Stewart, the Honorable Arthur Garcia and the Honorable George Eskin on March 4, 2011, kicked off the Santa Barbara County Probation Department’s 26th annual Staff Recognition Dinner at the Rancho Santa Ynez Valley Marriot. The dinner honored probation personnel for their accomplishments in 2010.
Award recipients included:
Support Staff of the Year: Lompoc Administrative Office Professional Bernie Sandoval, Santa Maria Probation Assistant Christina Balderama, Santa Barbara Administrative Office Professional Don Heath; Los Prietos Boys Camp Staff of the Year: Senior Juvenile Institutions Officer Jon Vittone; Los Prietos Boys Academy Staff of the Year: Senior Juvenile Institutions Officer Roshelle Faanono; Santa Maria Juvenile Hall Staff of the Year: Juvenile Institutions Officer Robert Foster Jr.; Auxiliary Services Staff of the Year: Juvenile Institutions Officer Sandra Black; Adult Deputy Probation Officer of the Year: Lompoc Senior Deputy Probation Officer Alejandra Ochoa, Santa Maria Senior Deputy Probation Officer Fred Cobb, Santa Barbara Deputy Probation Officer Mark Grunewald; Juvenile Deputy Probation Officer of the Year: Lompoc Deputy Probation Officer Alejandra Hernandez, Santa Barbara Deputy Probation Officer Rosa Reyes, Santa Maria Deputy Probation Officer Laura Hernandez; Bulldog Award: The Santa Maria and Santa Barbara Probation Report and Resource Center Teams (Deputy Probation Officer Seniors Steven Cottingham and Jose Macedo and Deputy Probation Officers Stephanie Eson and Cynthia Lopez); Star Award: Santa Barbara Adult Services Probation Manager Lee Bethel; Chief’s Award: Administrative Professional Melanie Davis.
In addition to the awards, Third District Supervisor Doreen Farr addressed the assembly and presented service pins to those employees with 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of county service.
